Shoveler

The Shoveler is responsible for manually clearing snow from areas that the tractor cannot reach,
including walkways, steps, and entryways. This role is essential for ensuring that all aspects of a
property are safely and thoroughly cleared of snow, providing customers with complete and
satisfactory service.

Reports To
Operations Manager

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Shovel snow from walkways, steps, and other areas not accessible by tractors.
  • Assist the tractor operator in clearing areas around vehicles, garages, decks, and other
    obstacles as required.
  • Communicate with the team to ensure all areas are covered and no areas are missed.
  • Maintain shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment in good working condition.
  • Respond to customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Inform dispatch of any missed driveways or visible damage to our client’s properties
  • Help other members of the team complete tasks as required or directed by the Operations
    Manager.
  • Adhere to safety standards to avoid injuries or damage to customer property.
    Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license (G)
  • Own transportation
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual snow removal for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in cold, snowy, and icy conditions.
  • Punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Availability to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required by weather
    conditions.
