What type of services do you provide?
We offer a variety of residential snow removal options to suit different needs and budgets, including our standard driveway service, a driveway and walkway package, and windrow service for homeowners looking to save. For those who want the highest level of care, we also offer our 2.5cm Ultra Service for customers who wish to be part of our Ultra Club.
We also offer residential salting services for $60 + HST per application, as well as one-shot snow clearing services. Give us a call to schedule service.
At this time, we do not offer rooftop snow removal.
Are you insured and licensed?
Yes, every business in the industry is required to carry what is called CGL or Commercial General Liability insurance. Without this a company cannot obtain a snow removal permit from the City of Ottawa. We are insured for $2,000,000.
Is there a minimum snowfall required for service?
Our contracts cover all snowfalls of 5cm or more.
What if it snows a small amount spread out over a few days?
Service begins once snowfall on your driveway reaches 5 cm during a snow event. Smaller amounts under 5 cm, as well as drifting snow or ice buildup, are not included in this service.
Do you clear after the City plows?
Yes, as our operators make their first pass after a snowfall they record where the city plow has or has not been. When they finish their first pass they make as many return trips as necessary to clean up after city plows.
What time of day will you clear my driveway?
We operate 24 hours a day. Our start times are based solely on the snow fall. On average we will start a 10cm or less snowfall after it has fallen or a larger snowfall when 10cm is on the ground.
When can I expect my driveway to be done after a snow event?
All of our routes are built to be completed within 6-7 hours however there are a couple factors to be taken into account like when the storm actually finishes, how much snow has fallen and what is forecasted, and will the city be clearing residential side streets or not.
When will the laneway markers be installed and removed?
We typically install the markers on October 20th before the start of the season. We remove the laneway markers as quickly as conditions will allow commencing at the end of your contract on April 1st.
What is your damage/repair policy?
In the event of accidental damage to property caused by driver or equipment error, our operators are required to report it to the office. It is however recommended that our customers call in to verify the report. Worry Free will typically make any non-urgent repairs in the spring, while more urgent repairs will be resolved immediately. Worry Free Snowblowing has an excellent reputation for handling repairs promptly and professionally.
To help prevent accidental damage, customers are also asked to notify us if any delineating markers become damaged or missing during the season so they can be repaired or replaced as needed.
What if there is an emergency and the city plow has me blocked in?
In the event of an emergency please call our office at 613-837-4556 and we will dispatch someone to your location. With our large fleet there is always a tractor within 10 minutes from your house.
