Position Summary:
This position is responsible for operating commercial lawn maintenance equipment, maintaining properties to high visual and safety standards, and completing assigned routes efficiently and professionally. Successful candidates will work as part of a team maintaining plazas, condo corporations, retirement residences, office complexes, and other commercial sites. The role offers opportunities for advancement and potential year-round employment through the company’s winter snow and ice operations division.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operating commercial lawn maintenance equipment including Wright stand-on mowers, F-Series mower, push mowers, line trimmers, blowers, and edgers
- Driving Ford F-250 trucks with lawn maintenance trailers between commercial properties
- Maintaining sites to a high commercial standard: straight lines, consistent cuts, trimmed edges, and clean hard surfaces
- Completing assigned routes efficiently while maintaining quality expectations
- Performing daily equipment inspections and reporting issues immediately
- Following site-specific requirements (gated access, tenant traffic, school zones, healthcare property protocols)
- Working safely around vehicles, pedestrians, tenants, and contractors
What We’re Looking For
- Valid Ontario or Quebec driver’s license with a clean abstract — required
- Reliable transportation to and from our yard
- Ability to handle physically demanding outdoor work in all summer conditions
- Dependable attendance and punctuality — this is non-negotiable
- Strong work ethic and ability to work efficiently as part of a team
- Experience operating commercial mowing equipment and towing trailers is an asset, but we are willing to train motivated candidates
