Yard Technician – Seasonal Full-time (September – April) with option for overtime during snow
events as Tractor Operator

Lead Mechanics and General Manager
Position Summary:
The Yard Technician is a crucial member of the Worry Free Snowblowing team, assisting with
maintaining, repairing, and inspecting our fleet and equipment. During snow events, this role also
serves as a backup Tractor Operator, providing additional support as needed. This is a seasonal fulltime position from September to April, with opportunities for overtime during snow events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all tractors and equipment are operational and in good working condition.
- Inspect the fleet regularly for potential issues and complete inspection checklists.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as greasing tractors and blowers, washing, and
fueling equipment. - Complete minor repair work orders, including tasks like replacing cutting edges, PTO shafts,
lights, UHF radio antennas, and minor blower repairs. - Ensure all tractors are stocked with necessary tools, shear pins, gloves, rags, and other
essentials. - Complete daily and weekly tasks as assigned by the Shop Supervisor.
- Maintain the yard, ensuring it is organized, free of garbage, and clear of snow. Spread grit on
surfaces when required. - Assist other team members with various tasks as directed by the Director of Operations.
Qualifications: - Valid driver’s license (G).
- Own transportation.
Assets: - Experience with heavy equipment operation.
- Background in vehicle maintenance (e.g., oil changes, brake servicing).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual

Compensation:
Starting at $24/hr, commensurate with experience. Benefit package included.
